ARRIVAL HANOI

HANOI HALF DAY TOUR – LAO CAI O/N SLEEPER TRAIN

After breakfast, drive to visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an imposing monument made of an impressive amount of marble and granite. This is where the preserved body of “Uncle Ho” lies in state. Continue visiting the One-Pillar Pagoda in the form of a lotus, it emerges from the water and rests on a single stone pillar. It contains a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with its legendary “thousand arms and a thousand eyes”. Afternoon, visit to the beautiful Museum of Ethnology, where you can grasp an understanding of Vietnam's diverse culture through its unique presentation of objects & dress from daily life. Highlight your trip with another cultural feel through another aspect – art, at Art Vietnam gallery owned by an American Art Consultant. This evening attend a traditional water puppet, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form especially designed for depicting scenes from rural life and many episodes of national history.
Late check out at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi railway station for the overnight train to Lao Cai.

LAO CAI – SAPA

Arrive in the early morning at Lao Cai Station, near the Chinese border, and transfer to our private car for a scenic drive to the hill station of Sapa. Enjoy the spectacular views of rice-terraced mountains and Black H’Mong and Red Dao hill tribe people dressed in their colorful wares walking along the roadside. After checking into the hotel and breakfast (early check-in is NOT included and subject to the availability), drive to the top of Lao Chai village, then start to hike down slope from the main road in Lao Chai to visit Black H'Mong village. Continue to hike from Lao Chai to Ta Van where the Zay group, Red Zao tribe live. In Ta Van we enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our guide in a local house.
After lunch we continue our walk through the bamboo forest before reaching Giang Ta Chai, where we have the opportunity to meet the Red Dao minority people. A car will be awaiting us in Giang Ta Chai and take us back to Sa Pa.

SAPA – LAO CAI INCL. LUNCH O/N SLEEPER TRAIN

A drive trip takes us down in the SaPa valley through the two Black Hmong villages Cat Cat and Sin Chai. We follow the road leaving out of SaPa down to the valley where we have some excellent views towards the valley and the Hoang Lien Son Mountains. When we arrive in Cat Cat where we have time to explore the village and take pictures of the amazing surroundings. We continue on a dirt road towards Sin Chai village. On the way we will pass the Black Hmong people either working in the fields or on their way to or from the market in SaPa. Have lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon, we drive to the beautiful Silver Waterfall, where we enjoy the view of old forest and the surrounding mountains. We continue our jeep trip for another 15 minutes and arrive to Heavens Gate with the magnificent view over Lao Cai- and Lai Chau provinces. Then, transfer to a local guesthouse near Lao Cai train station for fresh up before taking an overnight train back to Hanoi.

HANOI –HALONG BAY (180 KMS/3 HRS)

Pick up from Train Station. You will be taken to a Restaurant for breakfast before you leave Hanoi to arriving at Halong Bay around 12:30 pm. Welcome on board of Bai Tho Junk and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. Passage into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons' teeth.
After lunch, we cruise to the inside of magical landscape of Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Binh Phong mountain, Sung Sot Cave, Round over Titov Beach. Enjoy sunset on the top of the Titov mountain or you take a bamboo row boat to discover a water tunnels with many coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board Bai Tho Junk, enjoy dinner on boat.

HALONG – HANOI – HUE INCL. BREAKFAST & LUNCH

Rise to the sound of the ocean coming to life for another lovely day. Before breakfast, you may have an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, we cruise to the Bai Tho Mountain in the other beautiful Bai Tu Long Bay and we cruise back to the Halong dock. Lunch on boat before checkout is at 11:45. Boat arrive at harbor by 12:00 for the drive back to Hanoi. Drop you off at Hanoi airport for flight to Hue. Upon arrive in Hue, meet you and transfer from airport to hotel for checking in and relax. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.

HUE HALF DAY TOUR

Morning, take a dragon boat across the triangle of the Perfume River upstream to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, Hue’s most preserved religious monument the former imperial city of Hue offering an insightful look into its regal past. Continue your trip to visit the Imperial Citadel - The Vietnamese Forbidden city from where the Nguyen Emperors once ruled Vietnam. This afternoon drive to visit the elaborate Tu Duc Royal Tomb which was designed to blend with the natural setting of the landscape and Khai Dinh Royal Tomb with different architecture and atmosphere that has elements of eastern art mixed with western designs. End of the trip, drive back to your hotel for the night.

HUE – HOI AN PRIVATE CAR

Morning, after breakfast, depart from Hue to Hoian Ancient Town (3 ½-hour drive). We make a stop at the Lang Co fishing village located on a sand dune line for a photo opportunity. We continue the scenic drive over the Hai Van (Ocean Clouds) Pass, the summit of which presents a spectacular panoramic view of the central coastline. Upon arrival in Hoi An, check in to hotel and relax, then enjoy a walking tour of the ancient town centre. Visit the former merchants’ houses that are a combination of Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese style; the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge constructed in 1593; Sa Huynh Museum located near the Japanese covered Bridge, it contains exhibitions from the earliest period of Hoi An's history and the colourful market with its stalls brimming with tropical specialties. The market is a good place to buy silk to have made into fine garments, all within a day.

HOI AN – DANANG – NHA TRANG DOMESTIC FLIGHT

After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to Danang airport for flight to Nhatrang. Upon arrive in Nhatrang, transfer to hotel for check-in and relax. Overnight at Hotel.

NHA TRANG CRUISE TOUR OF ISLANDS

Morning, transfer to the dock for a half day boat cruise around the Nha Trang bay to visit some islands (Tri Nguyen Aquarium, Tam Island, Fishing village) and tranquil beaches with a lot of swimming and snorkeling opportunities. Seafood lunch is served on board. Afternoon, transfer back to the hotel.

DALAT – SAIGON DOMESTIC FLIGHT

Morning, transfer to Dalat airport for flight to Saigon. Upon arrive in Saigon, transfer to hotel for check-in and relax. Afternoon, embark on a half day trip of Saigon’s historic landmarks including the Post Office & Notre Dame Cathedral circa 1880, and then drive to visit Saigon’s ‘twin city’, the Chinese district of Cholon, to enjoy the bustling wholesale quarter of Ho Chi Minh City, Thien Hau temple built by Cantonese Buddhists at the end of 18th century. Drive back downtown for the night.

TAY NINH TEMPLE & CU CHI TUNNELS HALF DAY TOUR

In the morning, drive about 60 miles northwest of Saigon to the Cao Dai Great Temple. This modern sect, founded in the 1920s, is a fusion of Buddhist, Confucian, Taoist, and Christian beliefs, with a dash of Islam thrown in. There is an opportunity to observe a very colourful service at midday. Lunch is at a simple local (rural) diner. In the afternoon, continue your drive to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, the remains of a real bloody battlefield, which is a complex network of tunnels built during the long years of wars. SAIGON – CAN THO - MY THO – MEKONG DELTA FULLDAY TOUR INCL. LUNCH

After an early breakfast, set out on an excursion to Mytho in the Mekong Delta. Enjoy a 2-hour scenic drive passing paddy fields and river tributaries. On arrival, board our private motorized boat for a river cruise on the upper part of the Mekong River for a taste of agricultural life on the mighty Mekong River, visiting a fish-raising village then entering Vam Xep canal with its beautiful scenery of water palm. Disembark and stroll around Quoi An fruit orchard, visiting fruit-drying kilns and a coconut craftwares home. Enhance your trip with a short horse-drawn cart ride along the village road. Upon arrival at Ben Truc – Phong Phu garden, sample Mekong delta fruit whilst enjoying local traditional music, and an opportunity to interact with the local people, whose livelihood is on the river. Complete your trip with a rowing-boat trip to explore the water palm canals. Return to the main boat and transfer back to My Tho. Arrive at the dock and take lunch at a local restaurant, incorporating some great Mekong specialties. A further 2-hour drive to Can Tho for the night.

CAN THO – SAIGON

After breakfast, check out of hotel and board the boat for a cruise to visit Cai Rang floating market, the unique styled market of this locale. There will be hundreds of boats laden with fruit, vegetables and fish, jostling for trade. Sellers advertise their wares by crying out across the waters. Then visit My Khanh orchard garden where you will try some delicious seasonal fruits. Leave Can Tho and drive back to Saigon with a lunch stop at My Tho. Arrival in Saigon and drop off at Hotel.

Depart from Saigon at 0800 for Vung Tau. Upon arrival, dive to visit Vung Tau city tour with Lighthouse, White Villa, Reclining Buddha Temple, Back BeachLight house, White Villa, Reclining Buddha Temple, Back Beach. The remainder of the day is free at leisure or your own activites on the beach
