ARRIVE BANGALORE

You will arrive at Bangalore Airport. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, Our representative will meet you as you EXIT the ARRIVALS TERMINAL building. Upon arrival you will be accorded with floral welcome after which you would be transferred to hotel.

BANGALORE

After breakfast, you will introduced with sightseeing of Bangalore, visiting Tipu Sultans Palace, originally built in mud in 1537 and rebuilt by Haider Ali a couple of centuries later; Bull Temple enshrining a massive bull carved out of a single piece of Grey granite; Lalbagh gardens laid out by Haider Ali in the 18th century; Cubbon Park laid out by the British in the 19th century. Vidhan Soudha built in granite incorporates features of traditional Indian architecture. Visit ISKCON Situated on Chord Road, it is a must visit temple in Bangalore. It stands over a small hill and is a very clean and well-maintained temple. Akshaya Patra program sponsored by the temple is very popular.

BANGALORE MYSORE                                        [150 KMS / 3 HRS]

Later you will drive to Mysore.

On arrival at Mysore, you will check-in at the hotel. After getting refreshed yourself, you will proceed for the half day city tour of Mysore. Located at about 770 mtr above the sea Level, Mysore, the capital of the old royal Mysore Province, is a fascinating city of Karnataka. The name expands to "Mahishasurana Ooru", which means the town on Mahishasura, and has an interesting tale attached to it. It is believed that Goddess Chamundeshwari killed the wicked demon Mahishasura on the Chamunda Hills. Mysore was the political capital of the Wodeyar dynasty, which ruled the state of Karnataka for some 150 years till the independence of the country from the British. The well know 335 m high Chamundi Hills, the Mysore Palace, Avan Gardens, one of the best known Gardens in South India since 1960's are all some remarkable places in Mysore without which the trip to Mysore will remain incomplete. The St. Philomena's Church, Mysore Zoo and Art Gallery are other prime attractions of the Mysore. Other important tourists attractions in Mysore are Planet X, Rail Museum, Folklore Museum, GRS Fantasy Park etc. The world famous Vrindavan Gardens is located on the KRS Dam, about 15 km from Mysore. The musical fountains here have fascinated visitors including people from film industries. A visit to the gardens will surely be an exhilarating experience for you.

MYSORE - OOTY                                                    [160 KMS / 4 HRS]

OOTY

After breakfast, proceed for half-day sightseeing tour of Ooty. The history of Ooty goes back to about 900 years when Vishnu Vardhana, the Hoysala king from AD 1104 to 1141, ruled it. The city also finds mention in the writing of Jacome Ferico, the first European to visit this place in 1603. In 1799, this hilly region came under the control of the British East India Company. The British established Ooty to serve as the summer headquarters of the Madras government. A government house was built and keeping in tune with the English lifestyle, the British set up cottages and clubs, with facilities for tennis, golf, and horse riding. With the establishment of numerous tea estates in the subsequent years, Ooty made its presence felt in the tourist map of India.

OOTY - COCHIN                                                     [284 KMS / 8 HRS]

After breakfast enjoy Toy train ride from Ooty Coonoor (Toy Train 0915 / 1025) Coonoor is the first of the three Nilgiri hill stations. Coonoor has an equable climate that makes this small town a popular hill resort. Upon arrival Coonoor drive to Coimbatore from where you can board a train to Cochin ( Tata ALY Ex 1230 / 1810 Hrs).

Upon arrival at Cochin Railway station you will transfer to hotel.

COCHIN

After breakfast, you will be introduced to with half-day sightseeing of Cochin. You will be covering Vasco House and Synagogue. After this you will be taken to St. Francis Church Believed to be the oldest church built by the Europeans in India, it is the principal landmark in Fort Kochi. This historic church was constructed around the site of St. Bartholomews, a wooden structure erected by the five Portuguese priests who accompanied Albuquerque to Kochi in 1503. Hitherto confined only to royalty, the singular privilege of building a church with mortar and stone, roofed with tiles, was extended to the Franciscan priests by the Kochi Raja. Then proceed for Chinese Fishing nets - Fishing being an important commercial activity in Kochi, visitors can see large Chinese fishing nets standing out at the mouth of the Kochi harbour. It was the Chinese traders, hailing from the court of Kublai Khan who brought the fixed, cantilevered, Chinese fishing nets to the coast of Kerala. Then proceed for Mattancherry Palace Built by the Portuguese in 1555, Palace was presented to Raja of Cochin Veera Kerala Verma [1537 1561]. The palace is open from Saturday to Thursday. Photography is not permitted. After noon and evening will be free for independent activities.

Kathakali is the classical dance-drama of Kerela, South India, which dates from the 17th century and is rooted in Hindu mythology. Kathakali has a unique combination of literature, music, painting, acting and dance. In the following pages we have placed photographs and videos of Kathakali performances and songs by famous Kathakali singers.

COCHIN - ALLEPPEY                                             [House-Boat]

Morning checkout and transfer in time to Jetty point to board Houseboat for a 02 nights cruise through the famous backwaters of Kerala. Embark the traditional rice-boat of Kerela The Kettuvallam as known locally. Houseboats of Kerala are a unique way to experience the beauty of kaleidoscopic Kerala. Transportation of men and material using houseboats of Kerala is nothing new. The houseboats glide on the backwaters of Kerala, with panoramic view passing by. Enjoy the freshly prepared seafood on board the houseboat.

Kumarakom is located on the eastern shore of lake Vembanad at the mouth of the Kavanar River, in the heart of the fascinating backwaters, giving visitors an authentic insight into Kuttanad life. Kerala's famous backwaters comprise of vast lakes and a system of narrow canals and waterways linking them to one another. Not so long ago, these waterways served as the backbone of Kerala's transportation. And Kumarakom is the ideal place to experience the backwaters.
